COURSE CODE: AYMG105
INSTRUCTOR: JUSTUS MULWA
A portfolio is a collection of documents, evidence and examples that demonstrate completion of participant’s studies. It documents the journey, progress, lessons learned and completion of requirements.
The aim of this course is to enable the students develop the necessary skills needed in preparing and organizing their portfolios during their study period.
Coming up with a quality portfolio is always a process and not a one-day event. Therefore, we focus on training our students on some basic academic study skills such as:
- Taking lecture/class/seminar notes professionally
- Listening skills
- Writing skills
- Test taking
- Correct Referencing
Our students are expected to develop best learning styles through good strategies, and to learn and develop the skills of effective time management in order to complete their course of study within the required time frame.
By the end of this course, the learners will be expected to prepare a quality, standard portfolio that is presentable for investiture/for their ministry work. Students will learn to prepare their portfolio in two main formats:
- Physical form – a three ring binder in which all materials are kept
- Digital form – a soft copy of the resources/portfolio
