The church today can utilize the power of Social Media to communicate its mission to the digital world. This is our great commission as outlined on the gospel of Matthew 28:19, which says:

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

We need to think differently on how we can earnest the power of internet and social Medias like the Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube etc. for missionary work. We can be ambassadors of Christ on the social networks.

In today’s world we need to reach people where they are and not where we want them to be. But to achieve this goal we need first to accept the power and the importance of the social media to our church today. We need to take the task of reaching to souls for Christ on platforms that are designed for engagement and relationship building.

Just like Jesus called men among the people to be His disciples, today, men and women are needed to go out and preach the good news of salvation through the available social media platforms.

When used correctly, the combination of traditional means and the technology, can highly magnify our impact on passing on our mission about the second return of Christ, and can also be a vital tool for understanding our audience and build relationships.

In conclusion, we have the potentials of being ambassadors for Christ in spreading the good news of His love to the world; we can do it when at home, at work, while traveling 24/7 through the innovation of internet and social media.

This is the new wave of digital evangelism
